I’m All In!! The Start of My Mary Kay Journey

Happy Friday to all my followers!

If you cannot tell by the title of this post, I have made my choice on Mary Kay.

I have decided to go All In!!!!! The meeting on Tuesday went very well, and I felt really good about picking it up again. The difference with go around, is that I want to do it this time. Not for my friend, and not for anyone else’s gain, but for me. I want to put my best foot forward and actually give this a good shot! I am going to be purchasing my Starter Kit today and then I can start making plans and parties once I get it! I am so excited that I can barely stand it!

I want to make something clear about this, I won’t be posting a lot about Mary Kay on here for one reason. I don’t want this blog to lose it’s meaning. I created this blog as an outlet for my life, and I feel that this blog is a hobby. I do not want to place my business on my blog becuase it is business, not my hobby. What I will place on here are any accomplishments that I make along the way, but nothing about selling on here. This is one of the major promises I have made to myself as a consultant. I will not view anyone as a big “$” sign. I want to do Mary Kay to share products that I love and to help others feel empowered and love themselves.

I have a HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT coming up soon and guys, I can’t wait to share it with you! I will probably post about it either tonight or Saturday morning, but I can’t just yet!

I hope you all have an amazing night/day and I will talk to you all later!

Mary Kay. To Sell or Not To Sell?

Hi everyone!

I hope you all had an amazing week and weekend! There are so many things coming up this next week and I am beyond excited for it! My brother and parents are coming into town for a week, SLCC begins on Thursday and I made an AMAZING Belle Cosplay from the Live Action version of Beauty and the Beast, and the next thing that is happening is in the title of this blog post. Mary Kay.

I am writing this post in the hopes of actually getting some help on making a decision with Mary Kay. To back track here, one year ago, I signed up to become a Mary Kay Consulatant along side my long time friend. I was really excited for the new opportunity, but after a month and a half, I found myself in a position where I didn’t feel like I had the time to do it. I became discouraged and frusterated quickly and would rather go back to my normal day to day life than deal with Mary Kay.

After leaving it, I felt better to an extent, I felt like a failure. I didn’t really give this a true shot. I felt pressured into buying an inventory for Mary Kay products when I couldn’t afford one. I was being pressured to convince women to try and build a team with us, when I wasn’t about that. I want to help women and even men to feel confident about their skin, or to feel good in their skin. That was the main reason I joined Mary Kay with my friend. None the less, I felt like a failure for not giving my all.

Then two weeks ago, one of my other dearest friends who is getting married in a few months won a free makeover through David’s Bridal with Mary Kay. I was invited to attend, I did. I figured that since I knew how the show is run, I wouldn’t participate. Once we got to the party, the consulant was quite rude. She knew that I had a different consultant so therefore, she didn’t see any potential dollar signs above my head. When she would ask the questions if we knew what certain products were used for or why we should use them, the other girls didn’t know why. But I did, so I answered them. The consultant was impressed with me knowing so much and said that I should be one too. I told her that I was once, but figured that it wasn’t for me. She then asked the following question, “What did you do wrong?” I told her that I tried to through together a few facial parties, but nothing ever came of it, “Well, no wonder, you weren’t doing well because you were doing everything wrong.” She refered to my voice and my attitude. This made me mad.

I thought that she was up high in the clouds, she didn’t know me. She didn’t know what I was going through when I was in Mary Kay. I thought to myself that I should join Mary Kay again to prove her wrong. I quickly changed my mind, because I didn’t want to be around such negativity. But I began to re-evaluate who I am as a person and why I joined Mary Kay in the first place. I began to do research and now I am here. I want to ask you all, whoever reads this blog.

What do you know about Mary Kay? Am I crazy to resign up with them and give it another go? Have you had any experiences with consultants? What can I do to be better and be different than other Mary Kay consultants?

I am reaching out here, becuase if I decide to do this, I want to do it right.

I appreciate you all hanging in there and reading this spill, but I really would appreciate some feedback guys. Thank you all!!!!

Flashback to the 90’s

Hey Climbers,
How many of you remember the 90’s? Probably a few of you. I do! Especially when I watched Michelle’s newest make up and fashion video! Oh my goodness, I started recalling waking up early to catch Sailor Moon episodes, One Saturday Morning, playing with my Game Boy Color, eating French Toast Crunch (I about had a flip out in the local grocery store when I saw the box on the shelf!) and when I had Lisa Frank school folders, pens, pencils, notebooks, binders, and backpacks! Oh my gosh, I loved the 90’s and you can take a journey to the past with this tutorial that Michelle Phan created called: 90’s Nostalgia!

Have an awesome Monday everyone 🙂

Inspired by the butterflies that come out in spring ❤ Not only that, but she is using her favorite products that are cruelty free and she has a fun DIY at the end! ^_^

I believe that I will be giving this look a try today! Have an awesome Tuesday!

Favortie Book of the Week: Make-Up By: Michelle Phan

Hello Mountain Climbers! It’s Friday’s eve! Or if you ask me, Thorsday 🙂 Get it? Thor? Okay.
For my favorite book of the week, I chose Make-Up my Life by Michelle Phan.
I cannot get over how much I love this book! I have mentioned in the Inspiration tab that Michelle is one of my biggest role models and inspirations. This book is not only a guide to figuring out your skin type and ways to apply make up, but it also has advice on how to be successful in your life. From texting etiquette to how you can turn your passion into a career! Here is a link to her page if you want a copy!
Have a fantastic day! See you back here tomorrow!
Keep climbing and dreaming! Never give up!

Acne Home Remedies?

Climbers! It is another Tuesday! We survived Monday again! (Virtual High-Five!)
Let’s talk beauty here for a second.
Acne more so than beauty.
Acne SUCKS! I know this, we all know this. What really sucks is when you spend your money on products that don’t seem to rid yourself of acne. Growing up, I cannot tell you how much money I have spent on acne products from Clean and Clear to Proactiv and NONE OF THEM WORKED! My acne would go away for a day or two and then come back full blast shortly. Then I turned to in home remedies.
First: Apple Cider Vinegar and Lemon toner (FAIL) … I tried this once and my face turned red like a tomato and it didn’t do anything for my acne.
Second: Oatmeal Mask (FAIL) … The only thing this mask did was make my skin softer and I used it more than two weeks, but it didn’t make my acne go away.
Third: Toothpaste Spot Treatment (ULTIMATE FAIL! NEVER RECOMMENDING THIS TO ANYONE!!!!!!) … I cannot stress how awful this one is. I used it one night, put a dab on a zit on my forehead and woke up with it almost gone. I was so excited that two days later, I put a bit of toothpaste on my chin (Had a really bad breakout). Next morning? MY CHIN WAS BURNT! It looked like I had a sunburn only on my chin! The skin began to flake a few days later…. I was devastated.
Fourth: Honey and Cinnamon mask (Fail…again) I once again looked like a tomato after one use.
Needless to say, I was done trying home remedies. It felt like I was damaging my skin and not doing a darn thing to help my acne.
This was when I chose to stop using acne face cleansers, toners, spot treatments, all of it! I was fed up. Instead I went to natural face cleansers that were 100% Organic and natural. Including my moisturizer. I noticed a HUGE difference in just changing from acne products! I began using lavender essential oil for my acne breakouts and WOW! The breakouts have reduced dramatically! I also stopped drinking soda, drink WAY more water, stopped eating junk foods and more greens, veggies, and fruit, and exercising on a regular basis! All of this has helped my skin faster and it feels more natural and healthier to go this route. I am also not spending so much on products that only make the acne come back not long after using it.
Every ones skin is different. It takes time to figure out what your skin needs and what will work with it. Don’t give up!
Have an awesome Tuesday!

My Current Morning Beauty Routine

Happy Saturday!
Today, I am going to do a little walkthrough on my current beauty routine. Why? Because I am random!
1. A clean canvas (face): I don’t wash my face in the morning, I do this at night. If anything I will rinse it with water and then moisturize with 100% Organic Argan Oil.
2. Foundation: I use a powder foundation and I put a light coat on, fairly basic.
3. Conceal: (No one better say ‘Don’t Feel’!) I put this on any blemishes, redness, and dark circles to create an even face.
4. Eye Shadow: I always say, the less the better. I use a taupe base, a brown to contour, and a rose gold on the inner eyes and on the center of the lids.
5. Liner: It depends on the day, but the most part, I use a skin tone liner on my water line to make my eyes look more awake.
6. Mascara: I curl my lashes then put a light coat of mascara on and brush them out to avoid clumps.
7.Blush/Bronzer/Highlighter: Sometimes I use all but I mostly use bronzer and highlighter to contour my face.
8. Lipstick: All I use is either clear gloss or a nude color.
And that’s it! I don’t like using a TON of make-up, I am a fan of the “Barely-There” look.
What I mostly love about all my products that I use is that they are all Cruelty-Free! I find that so important. If I don’t see the little bunny on it or anything that says cruelty free, I will not buy it.
Have an safe and awesome Saturday and Happy Easter! See you back here on Monday!
